Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information AugmentDesk collects, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how our SMS and phone-call features work.
Last updated · September 2, 2026
NEURAOPTIMA LLC (“AugmentDesk,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates augmentdesk.com and provides an AI phone receptionist for local service businesses. This Privacy Policy applies to the people who use our service: the business owners who sign up, and the callers who reach a business through it.
1. Information we collect
Information from business owners
- Account details — your name, email address, mobile phone number, and password.
- Business details — your business name, address, service area, hours, services, and the published phone number you forward to us.
- The alert number where you want lead and booking notifications sent by text or push.
- Billing details processed by our payment provider (we don't store full card numbers).
Information from callers
When someone calls a business that uses AugmentDesk, our receptionist may collect the information a front desk normally would:
- The caller's phone number, name, and service address.
- The reason for the call and its urgency (for example, a no-cool or no-heat job).
- A recording and/or transcript of the call, used to capture the lead and to improve the service.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and log data — pages visited, actions taken, device and browser type, IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in and to measure usage.
2. How we use information
- To answer calls as your business, capture leads, and send you alerts.
- To create and secure your account and provide customer support.
- To calculate outcome-based billing and issue any credits.
- To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the accuracy and quality of the service.
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. SMS and text messaging
AugmentDesk sends text messages for three purposes:
- Verification codes. When you sign in or add a mobile number to your account, we text a one-time code to confirm the number belongs to you.
- Owner alerts and call summaries. When a lead is captured or an appointment is booked, we text the business owner at the alert number they provided during setup. For example:
New lead: {name}, {reason} — call back: {number}andBooked: {name} — {time}. If you request a demo, we text you a link when your demo line is ready and, after a demo call, a link to its summary. - Caller follow-ups. Where a business enables it and the caller has agreed, we may send a transactional follow-up related to that specific call or appointment (for example, a confirmation or a link).
Consent. Owners agree to receive alerts when they enter their alert number and activate the service. Callers are only sent messages related to a call they placed and, where required, after opting in. You may receive up to 25 messages per day, depending on your call and lead activity.
Opting out and help. You can reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time, and HELP for help. After you reply STOP, we will not send further non-essential messages to that number. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sharing of opt-in data. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent obtained for text messaging are used only to deliver the messages described above. We do not sell this information, and we do not share mobile opt-in data or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
4. Call recording
Calls handled by the receptionist may be recorded and transcribed so we can capture the lead and improve the service. Recording laws vary by state. Business owners are responsible for any notice or consent their jurisdiction requires from callers; see our Terms & Conditions.
5. How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- Service providers. Vendors that help us operate — telephony and messaging (such as our SMS/voice carriers), AI model providers, email delivery, cloud hosting, and payment processing — acting on our instructions.
- The relevant business. Caller details are shared with the business that was called, so they can follow up.
- Legal and safety. When required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can ask us to delete your data as described below.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access, correct, or delete your account information by contacting us.
- Opt out of texts by replying
STOP; manage alert settings in your account. - Control cookies through your browser settings.
9. Children's privacy
The service is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
